Auctions for a better quality 8 1/2’ 3 piece split bamboo fly rod made by Goodwin Granger in Denver Colorado. It appears to be stamped above the cork grip Granger VICTORY. The rod is being sold as a project rod for several reasons... 1st the 2 original split bamboo tips are short by 4 3/4” and 5 1/4” but there’s a third full length tip by another maker that is included with the rod. The length of the butt section and mid sections a true 34 1/2” while the tips are 29 3/...4 and 29 1/8”. Note when assembled the sections “pop” when disassembled and are with tight original wrappings. Second the original cork grip has honest use wear and a very small chip by the all nickel silver reel seat. All ferrules are better quality solid nickel silver. The reel seat moves in/out without issues, all sections are without a set... Note the male ferrules on the mid sections approximately 1/4” while the male ferrules on the tip sections are approximately 5/32”.
