This item is an antique vintage right handed 37 1/2" wooden shafted 3 Iron made by Tom Stewart of St Andrews Scotland. Made for the pro Fred Whiting of Royal St George's Sandwich (1914-32). The head is clean and not all rusted. It does show the expected play nicks and dings. Dot face scoring. Please look at the many zoom pictures for a better idea of condition. The shaft is an old hickory. It is straight, I see no cracks and it is tight at the hosel (all hickory sh...afted clubs should be re-set prior to play and I believe this one already has been). The grip is a newer rough side out long leather wrap that is in good playable condition. 34* loft and a C 3 swingweight for play. Tom Stewart irons are sought after by modern day hickory players. If you are considering playing with this all hickory shafted irons should be re-set prior to play. While I see no issues with the shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These wooden shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee wooden shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old wooden shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old hickory shafted wood with a hard range ball.Shipping in the US is via USPS Priority Mail and is calculated based on an 2 pound box.
