The cards are varied and include views of the topography, Fan tan players, opium smoking, paddy fields, Great Wall, Canton girl, woman with baby, Peking Gate, camel transport etc.The images are colour tinted and are interesting images of a bygone age.These postcards were purchased in China in the early 1900s by a lady who travelled widely in Asia from 1901 to 1910 ……. during those 9 years she visited China on several occasions ...so this is why it is not possible to date them exactly.
The condition is good and unused and only show minor signs of age considering that they have been hidden in a shoe box for over 100 years !
