RARE Award Medal from the 1915 Panama Pacific Exposition and Worlds Fair. Struck in Bronze, by U.S. Mint, it is 2 3/4" (70 mm) in diameter. The artist is John Flanagan 1865--1952The obverse shows nude Male and Female Figures, representing the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, joining hands over land with a Rising Sun in the background.The reverse shows the Jewell Tower, the Centerpiece of the Exposition, framed by the legend of the exposition.
