This lovely circa-1920Robinson-Ransbottom stoneware water-dispenser crock/urn is inbeautiful display condition. It has a few minor flaws that appear tobe manufacturing imperfections (not damage) and plenty of craquelurein the glazing, as the photos indicate. The lid is not original, butwhoever chose/made the replacement did a good job. The spigot ischromed brass with clean interior parts and what looks like a newvalve seal; it may or may not be original, although the neoprene andstainl...ess-steel washers are obviously not.The crock's #2 designation is forgallons capacity. It stands 14” tall (12” without the lid), is8.25” wide at the top and bottom, and 9” wide at the approximatemiddle. It weights 17 pounds with lid and spigot. For some reason theinterior smells like maple syrup. . . .Because of this item's age and interiorcraquelure, I recommend it as an antique decoration, not as afood-safe beverage dispenser. I cannot guarantee its functionality orsafety as such. This stoneware water crock/urn ships double boxed within two days of payment, with the spigot detached andenclosed separately.Thank you.
