This auction is for a beautiful miniature oil lamp. It is white milk glass with (a bluish tint is on the shade), scrolls, feathers, hand painted flowers and gold gilded accents. The burner is marked "Pat. Feb 'y 27 1977". It measures 8" high (not counting the chimney). It has been displayed and needs a cleaning. There are nicks to the underside of the shade, roughness along the edge and a flake from the bottom of the shade(see last photo). The name of this lamp is "Elsie". It first appeared in the Dodd, Warner & Co. catalog for 1896-1897. They were sold for .80 or $8.00 per dozen.
