Antique Hand Made/Hammered Copper CANISTER-VASE w/Tin Lining & Dovetailing (2 Qt.)Description of item...Here we have a beautiful antique hand made and hand hammered solid copper CANISTER or VASE with tin lining and dovetailing. The top rim is rolled over an iron rod, the dovetailing is on one side and on the bottom circumference with bronze solder. It measures approx. 6-1/4" high x 5-3/4" in top diameter x 4-5/8" in base diameter, can hold up to 2 quarts to the brim. It i...s in good to very good maintained (used) condition commensurate with its age. It has not been polished since acquired and is being offered in "as found" condition - currently showing a deep copper patina and a minor side ding (which is hardly noticeable without close examination. Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown. This item weighs approx. 1-1/4 lbs., add 2 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material.
