Stanley No 5 Jack Plane Type 19 1948-1961 Tuned. Clean very well taken care of. Tuned ready to use. No breaks cracks chips or repairs to the body or frog. 95% original black japanning, nickel plating on the the lever cap 95%. Rosewood tote and knob are free of cracks chips or repairs, but have been re-lacquered and then hand polished to a silky smooth feel. Sole has been lightly lapped and checked at toe mouth and heel. Mouth is good with no chips or alterations. Frog sits square on th...e body. Lever cap and chip breaker have been lapped flat at their contact point with the iron to ensure a firm seat and reduce chatter. The near full length iron has been lapped flat o the back and then honed with a 10, 000 grit Ohishi Water Stone. I test all the planes I tune on black cherry. This one makes see through shavings and leaves a finish as smooth as glass. All screws have been lightly cleaned and oiled and move freely. No issues. If you have any questions feel free to ask!
