L. Bailey Victor plane with cast iron tote and iron stamped "L. Bailey's Patent, April 23 1867, December 12, 1876, E. D. H."
The left shoulder of the main casting has a chip and fracture, the front knob is missing, the tote is a bit loose (I haven't attempted to tighten it), and I am not certain that the iron is original to the rest of the plane. There is also some sort of adjustment piece on the frog that is a bit mysterious to me, and appears to be broken in half. Please review t...he images for overall condition and other issues. The plane is more than a bit rough. It is also rare and features an interesting, beautiful design.
Approximate measurements: 13 1/2” long, 2 5/16” wide, 4 3/4” tall.
