This circa 1930s wood desk top inkwell box looks to be handmade. It has 3 lids that open a space to hold pens and a drawer with one divider. The inkwell pots, however, are 19c. Antique Old Glazed Stoneware Pottery.The tiny knob for the drawer has tiny Asian characters I'm sure was added when the box was made. Hard to tell the age.
The box measures 10" x 5 1/2" deep x 3" tall. The ink pots measure 1 3/4 across the outside top lip, 1" across the bottom, and approx.... 1 1/4" across the center. They are 3/8" tall. The inkwell pots themselves sell for $25 and up.
No breaks but well used. The finish has a low sheen which looks great even with ink stains on it. The antique pots have hairlines here and there and a few flea bites but very sturdy nonetheless.
