VINTAGE 1920s HANDMADE SILK EMBROIDERED KIMONO ROBE - EXQUISITE DETAIL
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:28461 | Decade: 1920s |
Material: 100% Silk |
This is a solid and well-made vintage/antique piece. Traditional Mandarin Collar and couture designed "framed slits" on ...both lower sides of the robe. There are three (3) intact frog closures. Again, in good condition and the reason only in "good condition" is due to areas of a water spot (?) that would require cleaning (please see the last 2 photos). Otherwise, the structure and embroidery is in very good condition. The robe is priced according to its minor flaws. It appears to have been worn very rarely in the past; internal silk lining shows no perspiration (please see the photo of the internal robe). The colors in the embroidery are heavenly....and the seamstress skill in making this robe is outstanding. This is very wearable in the modern day.
The Museum charges the buyer only $7.00 for shipping and handling for this piece within the United States; we pay the remaining costs for shipping, insurance, and handling (USPS Priority Mail). Please email with any questions and thank you for looking at this magnificent robe.
