This is a very rare Kieninger triple weight driven musical Westminster chime musical regulator wall clock. The design to the case is amazing and really catches your eye with huge proportions measuring over 5ft high, the photos don't do the clock enough justice but do give you a good idea The clock case has an absolutely beautiful colour and patina to the burr walnut backboard, the case is in excellent condition with the very impressive stunning regulator skeleton design having the full length bow fronted glass door which has a hook latch on the top and bottom to hold it shut
The case has a amazing design which i have never seen before, as these clocks are bespoke made to order clocks and would have cost you over £8000.00 new An absolutely amazing looking regulator wall clock which will take pride of place in any collection, it is definitely a display clock that will get people talking especially with its huge size. You will find it hard pressed to find another fine example for sale absolutely stunning quality in every way
THE DIAL The clock has a 8 inch silvered dial with roman numerals and its original hands, the dial has a true seconds regulator subsidiary to the centre. There is a day and month calendar subsidary dials to centre along with the moonphase mechanism dial and the date dial is around the outer edge. All these work in accordance with the movement. The dial is in excellent mint condition with no damage or wear and has its original hands
THE MOVEMENT It has a fantastic high quality Kieninger 8 day triple weight driven musical Westminster chiming regulator movement with a dead beat escapement and maintaining power. The movement is very clean and is in full working order keeping good time and chiming exactly as it should every quarter of an hour which can be heard in the video above, comes with its original long cylinder regulator pendulum, 3 chrome cased weights and a winding key. The movement is signed kieninger The movement has a day, date and month calendar and moonphase mechanisms which work in accordance with the movement and all work exactly how they should with the mechanism so you do not have to change them manually
The movement has recently been professionally serviced so is in perfect working order and comes with a 6 months return to base warranty for extra piece of mind, please see the terms and conditions
MEASUREMENTS The clock has huge proportions measuring a very impressive 63.5 inches High x 11.25 inches Wide x 8.5 inches Deep APPROX DATE Circa 1980 This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room. 6 Months Return To Base Warranty On Mechanism
All our clocks are tested for a minimum of 1 week before listing onto ebay and working condition is clearly stated above
No matter how well antique clocks have been serviced they will need final adjusting and setting into beat after transport and a professional person is advised and may be required in order to do this so please bear this in mind before bidding
If on the rare occasion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myself
There will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair
I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)
In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair
Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself
Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair
All repair costs will be met by myself for 6 months after purchase. If a mechanism is faulty after 6 months then i can offer a repair service for a discounted price but this cost will be met by the buyer if after 6 months of purchase
