Vintage printed postcard view of the Alabama State FairGrounds, showing Vulcan, the Iron Man Birmingham, Alabama. This card published by the S.H. Kress &Co. is postally used and bears a clear and distinct postmark from Ensley, Ala.Nov. 5, 1913. Note: Vulcan was made in Birminghamfrom Alabama iron ore and was exhibited at theSt. LouisWorld's Fair in 1904, billed as the largest cast iron statue in the world. Condition: There is some corner wear on this ca...rd, but the edges are pretty good. The back of the card is clean with only onesmall ding on the correspondence side just below the word Ala in purple.
