This lithograph is a print of Norman Rockwell's "The New Sprinkler", and is numbered 44 of 50 in this lithograph series. This print shows the depiction of a man looking up at the sky as it starts to rain, and he begins to catch the rain in his hand, while holding a new sprinkler, and water hose in the other. The dog in the print is standing next to the man eagerly awaiting for him to put the sprinkler up. This print was designed by Norman Rockwell, for the cover of the 1961... Melnor Industries catalog. The Melnor Inc. are producers in lawn and garden watering products, and in the 1960"s they came out with the traveling sprinkler. The picture in the frame is 34" high, and 25" wide, while the picture by itself is 32 1/2"high, and 22 1/2" wide.This print is a little crinkled but otherwise in good condition. The frame is in fair condition, showing major signs of wear from age and use. It is recommended to replace the frame. Please consult images, and message with any questions.
