Absolutely incredible condition, extremely ornate Masonic Knights Templar sword and scabbard. This is a top-quality sword from the fine firm of Henderson Ames of Kalamazoo, Michigan. This company was established in 1893 when the midwestern branch of America's premier swordmaker, Ames Sword Company, merged with the superb firm of Frank Henderson in Kalamazoo. This sword and scabbard are truly amazing - please read further and look at all 12 photos to see for yourself-- this i...s a true work of art from end to end. Blade is 30 inches long. Overall, the sword itself is about 37 1/2 inches in length. In the scabbard it is 39 inches from end to end. It is finely etched on both sides. The low-relief areas around the etched designs are nice- plating is intact. No scars, no age flecks or graying-- the blade looks like it was made yesterday! The original leather blade washer is still in place and in excellent condition. At the base of the blade it is marked THE HENDERSON AMES CO. KALAMAZOO MICH.
