Up for auction is a 1920's AMERICAN BEAUTY FIVE TUBE BATTERY SET RADIO CHASSIS AND PANEL ONLY in extremely nice original condition. This was manufactured by the American Radio Mfg. Co. of Kansas City. The bakelite panel has no chips, cracks or breaks that I can see, but has a few light surface scratches, scuffs, etc... The decorative gold trim work is in excellent condition showing minor signs of age and wear. The bakelite knobs with their pointers are all present, unbroken and turn fr...eely. The chassis appears to be complete except for tubes. Needless to say, you are buying this electronically AS IS as I cannot test it. This could use a thorough cleaning as all I did was dust it off. The panel measures approx. 20" wide and 7" tall. The depth of the chassis is approx. 6 3/4" excluding the knobs. A striking panel that would display nicely on its own or perhaps the chassis in you radio needs an upgrade.
