This was made by Ralph Edwards Sportswear for the United States Navy, USN, in 1984.
The USN acronym is punched on the wind flap, see pic # 10.
The mouton collar is real wool.
The leather is soft but not as softer or pliable as goatskin, so we are guessing this is just cowhide.
The cuffs and waistband are, we believe, the original ones, not replacements, but we are no experts, so please check the photos provided and judge by yourself. If you need close-ups, just ask.&n...bsp;
The size is 40, or men's medium. Actual measurements when flat are:
- 21" across the chest, pit to pit;
- 25" shoulder seam to edge of cuff;
- 18" shoulder to shoulder across the front;
- 25" collar seam to edge of waistband along the back.
The jacket weighs just a tad over 3 1/2 lbs un-boxed.
