Near mint condition, no enamel cracks. Sold without ribbon in the original title box of issue. This decoration is in gold and weighs 10g
Based on the dimensions it would appear to be the officer grade rather than the commander. The commander would also have a slightly different suspension loop. It's a nice medal (Excerpt with th...anks from an eBay member)
The Order was established on 20 February 1868 by Vittorio Emanuele II, first king of unified Italy to commemorate unification (though it was only in 1870 that the Papal States and Rome joined the union).
It was intended to reward outstanding service to Italy and was open equally to Italian and non-Italian citizens. It became obsolete with the dissolution of the Italian monarchy at the end of World War II and has not been issued since.

Should our local or international buyers prefer their items to be delivered door-to-door delivery via a courier service this can be arranged at an additional cost to the buyer and the invoices generated accordingly.
Should the buyer be from South Africa then the item will only be sent via a suitable door-to-door courier for the buyers account as the South African Post Office have proved to be totally unreliable.
Our aim is to deliver our goods to you as quickly as possible. In the very unlikely event of your item being lost in the post, please contact us directly in order for us to investigate further. We will handle the claim and ensure compensation in some form or another. Please be patient as in almost all cases "missing items" are held up at the receiving customs authorities.
