In 1920 Stanley bought theplane portion of Union Mfg. and sold their manufactured planes that were very, very similar to Stanl...ey patented design. The wood tote has no cracks or breaks but is missing a sliver off of the right side of the tote spur. (see pics). All moving parts operate smoothly. Japanning is approx. 80-85%. The cutter adjusting knob is the small brass version and has only a couple of pliers nicks. The body, sole and mouth are in Very Good condition. The lever cap is the 'straight-shaped' slot version. The original cutting iron has the Union maker info. and is sharp but should be touched up before use.. There are no breaks or repairs in the metal parts of the plane. No ownersmarks.
