Original Description:
This framed piece features a beautiful Nymph sitting at the water's edge, with her chin propped upon her wrist as if she is resigned to ... something sad, maybe? Her hair is long and flowing, there are stars covering her dress which dangles in the water - perhaps she is a mermaid. She has dropped her crown in the pond where a fish is circling round to inspect it. 
Full length of the frame is 12.5 inches. Not signed. The surrounding paper is yellowed with age. It came from an es...tate here in Connecticut.
