Very Rare Drocourt Payne Striking Repeating Carriage Clock
I am selling all my clock collection due to spending a lot of time away from home and not being able to enjoy them like i used to. Its money tied up in items i can rarely see or enjoy so time to sell to other passionate collectors etc.
I have some stunning, rare clocks (7 in total listed here now on ebay). I want them... to go to a good home and thus someone who can admire them as they deserve. I am hoping to start a collection again in the future.
Payne & Co of New Bond Street, London.Wonderful, ever collectable Drocourt. All working and striking but is missing the hour hand. Got lost moving the clock sometime back. Cheap to replace of course i just forgot all about it.
Has a good buttery finish and comes with key. One of my favorites.
Dimensions;16cm high
Would make a lovely gift.
Please do remember given the sensitive nature of the movements that after transit they may need adjusting and/or setting up.

On 02-Jun-19 at 13:56:42 BST, seller added the following information:Being an honest man i want to let all bidders know that this clock was working when this listed started and has been working well ever since i got it.
During the listing the clock was moved and laid flat on a cushion (escapement not ticking) to check something in answer to a question on ebay. Since this check the escapement will not start again. It looks like it is slightly jarred and should free up and tick again with any twist of the lock . I have had this happened with other clocks and i truly feel it is not a big issue nor detrimental to the clock because this can and does happen to these clocks during and after transit in the post so will need setting up anyway.If any bidders would like to talk about this in detail then please do send me a message, i can also leave my telephone number so to talk in more detail.
For the sake of honesty i wanted to state this and continue with the listing so it is fair to the bidders and many watchers on this sought after and famous item.
