Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at an older Atlas VM-1 shock mount that's in very nice cosmetic and excellent working condition with a polished chrome finish and original Atlas sticker. Both threads are in perfect condition as seen in the pics provided. Great for most desk and floor stands. Pic # 2 is from an old 1960's era Atlas catalog showing this very adapter. Simply attach (screw this adapter on) ...to the top of your stand then screw your mic onto the VM-1 adapter and you'll significantly reduce any unwanted feedback in the form of "thumps" you often get when knocking your mic or stand while the mic is live. These adapters have a built in rubber device to absorb the movement of your mic. There is plenty of resistance as well so your mic won't lean too much once it or your mic clip is installed on top. The chrome is in fantastic condition. Much nicer than the pics would indicate. No deep scratches at all or corrosion. Atlas sticker looks great and this will last at least 50 years if stored in a temperature controlled environment. Atlas has been making these for darn near 60 years now and they do the job nicely.
