LASZLO DUS, born and formally trained in Hungary, now lives in Los Angeles, still working and creating his art in his studios in LA and in Hungary; his works are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The National Art Gallery in DC, Chicago Art Institute, Flint Art Museum, Detroit Arts Institute, The Smithsonian, Library of Congress, NASA Museum in Houston, museums in Hungary and in private and corporate collections world-wide. A book, 'Art of Laszlo Dus' by Albert Scaglione was published in a limited signed edition. He's a fascinating artist who continues to explore art on paper in and outside 'the box' and is well-known in many countries for his museum-quality works. This piece is a wonderful, elegant example of his style, attention to details and creativity.
MEASURES: Framed is 16 inches X 19 inches; the lithograph itself is 9 inches X 11 7/8 inches, is on artist paper, signed LR and numbered LL. From a series the artist, Laszlo Dus created in the 1970's, in excellent condition, wonderful coloring and technique with interesting, thoughtful design exploration throughout, this Lithograph is a wonderful example of great Mid Century abstract art, elegant and stylish in a serene, elegant way, a great addition to any Mid Century decor or Modern Art collection!
