In the grading of pendant watches it should be an 11. This is an extraordinarily beautiful pendant watch. I have owned many superb pendant watches but this one is one of the best I have ever owned.
The case is truly beautiful & superbly engraved. One side shows a singing bird in a crown of branches & flowers & the other side has a non engraved escutcheon in a wreath of leaves, branches & flowers.
Stamped MF & Co. and warranted 14kt U.S. Assay, 40469.... The dust cover is incised: Pheby Ladrick. Lovely red & black dial numbers. Hampden enamel dial & beautiful original hands.
Highly jeweled & damaskeened movement. Lever set. Runs well & keeps time but not professionally serviced for over 20 years. If you plan to use this beautiful watch for daily time keeping, I would suggest a servicing.
Hampden did not produce many pendant watches. This one is a Home Run. You won't see another case that beautiful. Weight is 56.1 grams (movement & case).
