Beautiful french 8 day gilt metal & blue Sevres bell striking mantle clockThis is a beautiful blue sevres and gilt metal cherub figural bell striking mantle clock. The details to this clock are second to none. The main body is constructed from gilt metal with stunning embossed patterns and raised mounts. Either side flanking the blue porcelain panel is 2 cherub mythalogical figures holding spears. Very pretty blue sevres porcelain panels with hand painted floral and figural patterns. ...To the top there is a main gilt metal and blue sevres centre bulb piece. curved raised floral mounts which really makes this clock stand out. The dial is fully matching hand painted blue sevres porcelain with black Roman numerals and gilt cross spade hands with a very detailed floral paintings. all protected by a bevelled glass front door. The movement is bell striking which strikes the half and full hour counting the hours. The clock is finished at the sides so works from every single angle. Fully working coming with its pendulum and winding key. Fantastic early clock with a lot of very fine detail and the quality speaks for itself.
