This H&B 125 pro model game bat dates to the 1965 to 1968 Louisville Slugger marking period. Jerry Adair was only with the Red Sox in 1967 and 1968 and was a key player in their 1967 "Impossible Dream" season. The bat is 34 1/2" long and weighs 32 to 33 ounces. It is not cracked but does have checking on the back of the barrel as the pictures will show. Lot's of game use, wear and a trace of pine tar. It is a model U1 and has U1 stamped into the knob. The number 14 also... appears on the know in faded black marker. 14 was Jerry Adair's uniform number with the Red Sox in both 1967 and 1968. He also played for the Baltimore Orioles from 1958 to 1966. Nice piece of history from one of the Boston Red Sox's greatest years. All inquiries welcome.
