A very nice 1948 “first year” Aerometric Parker 51 fountain pen in midnight blue with a clean gold-filled converging lines cap. This 51 has been gently restored and is in good working order. This is a “Mark I, Type I” model with the polished aluminum filler. This filler has blemished areas from old corrosion. We cleaned these up, but it’s still noticeable (see pictures). Barrel and cap show normal age related wear with minor marks, scratches, and dings. End of barrel has some... noticeable scratches from cap posting. The 1/10 12k gold-filled cap is very clean, with no dings. Cap also has the long arrow clip and a clean pearlescent grey cap jewel. Barrel date code shows an “8”. Please see pictures for more details on exterior condition. The nib has plenty of good iridium! It offers a fine line and seems to write well. Please see sample writing in photos.
