ERie Tool Works ERie PA Superior No 44 Bench vise with anvil, pipe jaw inserts , Swivel. 4" jaws.
One of the cleanest examples you will find. Has some small nicks, No rust to speak of.
Paint has been freshened up - original first layer was a dark green with later repaint (sloppy) bright red with pervious owners initials in orange I appreciate vises in "as found" condition , but this one was just plain ugly , so I used a soft wire wheel and... some light sanding to take off the sloppy layer of paint (even the handles were painied) . I gave it 2 coats of Rustoleum Hunter green - close to original dark green. I lost the bottom bolt and replaced. , the sleeve bearing is original.
. The hardened jaw inserts are crisp with clean square edges and deep cross hatch. Come with teh matching pipe inserts.
About the only condition things to call out are some small nicks, in the anvil surface and the handle has a slight bend to it.
The Jaws open and close freely with no play. Fit tighly with good alignment
