This is a beautiful vintage Art Deco Italian alabaster egg or dome shaped table lamp.
I would estimate it dates circa 1950s.
The entire lamp measures 9 inches tall (23 cm).
The lamp has scattered dings to it, mostly on the base. There is one chip that stands out as it has darkened over time, though it may have actually been a tiny filled in repair.
The lightbulb sits a little crooked inside, but it is still secure. I am including that bulb because it is not incandescent an...d does not get hot. Though it has a hole on top to allow heat to escape, I would not recommend using an incandescent bulb, or if you’re going to, a very low wattage.
The lamp looks great whether it is lit up or not.
It is totally rewired and has an on/off switch.
It weighs 3 pounds 4 1/2 ounces (1.490 kg).
