Offered for your consideration is one (1) AVID 1 inch soft dome tweeter removed from their Model 110 speakers made in 1981. This high quality tweeter was also used in the Model 330, 230, 110, and possibly other c.1980 AVID models.So, please see my large photos, the measurements, and read the remaining description to decide if this exceptional tweeter is correct for your needs. This AVID tweeter is in clean, excellent shape. It has a structurally perfect radiating surface, slightly rece...ssed for protection below the “dispersion coupler” faceplate which has no cracks or scratches whatsoever. Plus, the very large ceramic magnet structure looks great as well with no undue oxidation. And, the +/- terminals are marked for polarity (red = +) and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, this vintage AVID tweeter is exceptionally well-preserved. Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds terrific—very strong with clear, sparkly high frequency detail to a rated 20kHz. Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 6.8Ω, consistent with a nominal 8 ohm driver rating. Lastly, the faceplate measures 4” x 3¼”, it stands 1⅜” tall, and the mount holes are spaced 2 13/16” long way / 2 3/16” short way / 3 9/16” diagonal, c-t-c. This is a great find if your 232 or other suitable AVID model has a blown tweeter and will have your speakers sounding their best again. And, since they’re long out of production, it’s a great spare to have on hand just in case.As pictured and described, this superb AVID 1” soft dome tweeter is offered at a competitive price.
