The label says that you can fry, broil or barbecue meat and serve it (without removing from platter) still crackling in its natural juices. The bakelite holder provides perfect protection for hands and table. There are no chips, cracks, severe scratches, nicks or stains. There are some light scratches/utensil marks, nothing too distracting. The anodized aluminum/stainless steel platters measure approximately 12-3/4" x 8-3/4".
