This is the very first model Hasselblad made in 1954 as a super wide , named Supreme Wide. Very early model and production serial number CIW 1117, making this the 116th Hassy Wide ever made.
The camera shows use but not abused, the lens on the camera is just about flawless overall, it has no scratches, no mold, no separation, very clear and clean, front and rear, only has the very minimum of wipemarks, and if you really scrutinize it, otherwise just about per...fect. it focuses smooth and aperture works well. The shutter is set into the lens and cocks well and releases fine, the speeds sound correct down to the 1 second setting and also the B setting, but not checked for accuracy. The front of the lens barrel IN FRONT of the shutter that also includes the "shade hood rim" is somewhat wobbly, less than 1 mm i would estimate, the lens glass part is NOT moving or wobbly and the whole lens including its barrel is very solid. The camera advances well, the film back 120 mounts and dismounts smooth, the optical finder shows use and has some edge fog but sees generally well. Front lens cap and finder is included as pictured.
Overall a very early sound condition Hasselblad Wide, with a story to tell and capable of some nice wide photos. Please see pictures, sold at no reserve.
