Nice quarter repeating watch in solid 14k gold hunter case. Switzerland, 1900s.
Movement bears patent 17747, for governor of repeater, obtained by Magnenat-Lecoultre company in 1898.
Magnenat-Lecoultre
The Magnenat-Lecoultre company was opened in 1901 and was specialising in repeating and complicated watches.
It was independant only 10 years and was purchased in 1911 by company Jeanneret-Brehm.
The company then takes the name of Jeanneret-Brehm and Co and sells its s...topwatches under the Excelsior trademark, its chronographs under the Colombe trademark and its repetitions under the trademark Risoud.
The whole Jeanneret-Brehm company indeed was renamed to Excelsior Park about 1918.
In 1918 At the beginning of the years 1920, with the disaffection of the repeating watches, Excelsior Park will concentrate exclusively on the stopwatches and the chronographs.
Case is hallmarked with Swiss and German hallmarks for 14k solid gold.
Dust cover is also solid 14k gold.
Condition
The movement is in running condition, though I don't guarantee time keeping.
Repetition strikes as it should.
Dial has two reparations at 1 and 5 hours.
Cosmetically watch is quite fine, with some wear to the case.

Case diameter is 50mm, height without bow is 62mm. Weight is 80 grams.
