Leica IIIf vintage rangefinder camera w Steinheil Quinon f=50mm 1:2 lens. Includes leather case. The IIIf designation is based on the serial number (582602), and indicates 1951/1952 production year. The Leica IIIf featured flash synchronisation. I have not been able to date the Steinheil Quinon f=50mm 1:2 lens (serial number 988052). I cannot tell whether this is a 'red dial' model, though the faded ASA windows on the wind knob appear to be reddish (see photo). The strap rings ar...e rusty, though I suspect that they are not original; otherwise the camera is free of dings and scratches.The external metalwork could do with a surface cleaning after sitting idle in a camera bag. The leather(ette) case is scuffed, shows 'normal' wear for its age, and is stamped "ELEITZ/NEWYORK." Lens settings, shutter, rewind, and film advance are all operational. The camera was given to me by a retired professional photographer. Sold as is. There is information on a Steinheil 50mm f1.9 lens; but the closest I have come to these specs are the Zeiss Planar and Leica Summicron 50mm / f2.0.
