Original Description:
Late 19th Scovill & Adams(?) 4-Lens Bon-ton camera in whole plate (6 1/2"" x  8 1/2") format. Really beautifulcamera and the original bellows are good and light tight. This is an original wet-plate camera and as the original plate holder was missing, I had Steve at Black Art Woodcraft make a new wet-plate plate holder with plate adapters for whole, 5' x 7' and quarter (3 1/4" x 4 1/4") plate sizes.  He also made the 4 x 4 septum to match the original. This camera has an o...riginal movable back as well.  The original 4-lens unit is unmarked but appears to be Darlot made.  The glass on each lens is superb and I have inserted a washer stop in each lens to increase depth of field. The lens board is new and was made by Black Art Woodcraft. I replaced the ground glass on the hinged swing out back with a Steve Hopf hand ground glass. This camera as set-up will make 4 carte d'visite images on a whole plate tintype or glass plate.  With other lens set-ups and the movable back, you can make other period-size single or multiple images Really great camera for shooting period or modern wet-plate collodion, dry collodion orgelatin glass plates.I estimate shipping, CONUS at $125.00 via Fed ExGround, including insurance but I will charge actual cost only and refund any difference, if applicable.
