1955 New York State Original License Plate : EC. It was legal to drive with only plate that year. There is an faint impression over the '55 where the '56 metal tab once was. I've had this hanging up in my garage over 20 years. It was given to me by a member of the New York City Fire Department. This originally belonged to Edward Cavanagh the Harvard educated attorney polished country club polo player who was appointed as the New York City Fire Commissioner from ...1954 to 1961 by Mayor Robert Wagner. Carefully wrapped and packed. Time to come out and go to a new home. FREE domestic postage.
