Hello. These films came from a collector who took excellentcare of his films. I haven’t screened any of these films, I simply examined thefirst 20 feet or so with a loupe to check quality.
Up for sale are eight Super 8 films, one has magneticsound the rest are silent, one is in color, the rest b&w. The films are mountedon both 400-foot and 600-foot reels in hard plastic cases. Plenty of whiteleader, no vinegar odor. Unless noted, all films have near mint images, and allbegin ...in black.
1. Pluto’s Playful Pranks, 325 feet on a 400-footreel, mag sound, great color. This is a Walt Disney Productionfeaturing sequences from the following cartoons: Wonder Dog; Bone Trouble;Pluto’s Playmate; and Pluto’s Quin-Puplets. [the rest of the films are allb&w]2. Lodge Night, Hal Roach’s Little Rascals, 400 feeton a 400-foot reel, silent. This film has water damage - the only film in theentire collection of around 400 films with damage. Weird.5. Mary, Queen of Tots, Hal Roach’s Little Rascals, 400feet on a 400-foot reel, silent. Begins with a fade-in to the “Blackhawk Films”title.6. The World of Kids, 200 feet on a 600-foot reel, mag sound. The film begins with a fade-in to “A Reel Images presentation”followed by the main title including: “Warner Bros. Pictures Inc. and TheVitaphone Corp. presents…” There are minor wear lines on the right side of theimage. The film was written and directed by “Slats” Youngson and narrated by“Shorty” Weist . The case indicates this is followed by the film “No AdultsAllowed” (225 feet). I didn’t spin it out to check who produced it.7. Animals and Kids, 225 feet on a 600-foot reel, magsound. The film begins with a fade-in to “A Reel Images presentation” followedby the main title including: “Warner Bros. Pictures Inc. and The VitaphoneCorp. presents…” There are minor wear lines on the left side of the image. Thefilm was written and directed by Robert Youngson and narrated by both WardWilson and Jay Jackson. The case indicates this is followed by a cartoon(175 feet).
