NIP. Truly a rare find. These badge pins were made available once, in the year 2000. In honor of 150 years of existence, 1850-2000, these badge pins were made available to sheriff's office personnel. The pin is about the size of a quarter. It is silver in color, with red, yellow, black, blue and green highlights. The seven-point star is encircled with SANTA BARBARA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE. The banner on the star says SHERIFF and the center... of the star says 2000 with three colored ribbons and a yellow star. The lower banner says 1850-2000 California 150 YEARS OF SERVICE. Only a few hundred made the rounds 18 years ago, and how many still exist, in new condition, is speculative.
