The RetinaII S was made for a short period 1959 – 1960 and is relatively rare.
Thisexample No.55954 is in very good cosmetic condition but the connection betweenthe setting wheel at the base of the lens/shutter assembly and the aperturecontrol has been lost so that the metered exposure system does not operate and manualoperation is hindered by the linked shutter speed and aperture settings. There are scratches on the lens bezel shown inthe photographs. All the shutter speeds... work but the speeds below 1/30 sec arevery slow.
The wind onmechanism works smoothly, the self-timer works and the 45mm f/2.8 Retina-Xenarlens appears clear with some dust. Theexposure meter reacts well to light and the rangefinder works but is notaccurate.
The camerahas not been tested with film and is being sold for parts or repair.
