This sale is for a beautiful antique Japy Freres French brass gilt mantle clock with gallery. It is sold for repair and or parts and is presently not working. It comes with its own wooden base. It measures 13 1/2" to the top of the finials and the clock itself measures 4 1/2" deep and 6 1/2" wide with a 4" dial. For the sake of accuracy, it shows wear with a few old cracks in the dial, it has some rubbed spots. It looks like... it was touched up with gold paint at one time but the paint is now gone but remnants still show in the seams. It would be a beautiful clock if restored. It was a presentation piece to a Dr. Culbard from a grateful patient. It came down through the Dingwall-Fordyce family (Brucklay Castle, Scotland.) Due to the heavy weight, shipping will cost $45.00 in Canada and U.S.
