Late 1800s, early 1900s North West Mounted Police Cap Badge. The badge measures 1 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches. Made by "J.R. Gaunt & Son, London" This badge has been in our family since the 1940s. The rear lugs are missing. The badge is very nice and would be a great addition to any collection. These badges have been obsolete since 1904. This preceded the the Royal Canadian Mounted Police which came later.
