Original Description:
TWO 1/6 PLATE DAGUERREOTYPE IMAGES, HUSBAND + WIFE, DOUBLE CASE, NO WIPES. This is a pair of 1/6 plate daguerreotypes, both in sharp focus. Neither has any wipe marks. As you can see in the listing picture, there is very little of the original paper sealing left. The dag of the husband seems to be without defects except for minor tarnish near the mat edges. The wife's image has a grouping of tiny specks clustered on her left shoulder. The dags come in a double case. They would look bet...ter with new glass and resealing.
