Herschede 5 tube grandfather clock movement only @ 1915. This original Herschede movement came with the Colonial 5 tube case and all the other Herschede parts in it that I also have for sale this week. Please see my other listings this week for other Herschede items. This movement is marked Colonial, but was made by Herschede for Colonial during WWI @ 1915, when Colonial was not able to source their regular German movement manufacturer because of the war. Moveme...nt is in good original condition, and is relatively clean - looks to have been serviced recently. It fires off with finger pressure on both trains. Cables are good. Looks ready to go with some oiling and adjustment, but sold as it is for parts or repair with no warranty. Dial measures 11 3/4" wide x 16 3/8" tall. It is signed for the retailer, and in very good condition with a good original finish to the metal. There is some wear and oxidation as shown in the photos, but overall it is very good and presents very well. Moon dial is in great original solid condition with good solid paint. Original hands. Original seatboard measures 18" wide x 3 1/2" deep x 13/16" thick. With pulleys. No reserve. UPS ground shipping will be $45.00 in the continental USA.
