Rare Antique HOLTZAPFFELL & Co Brass Backed 8" Open Handle Dovetail Saw Old Tool Rare Antique HOLTZAPFFELL & Co Brass Backed 8" Open Handle Dovetail Saw Old Tool You are bidding on a very nice and... rare Antique HOLTZAPFFELL & Co Brass Backed 8" Open Rosewood Handled Dovetail Saw in nice clean original used condition.Cleaned and waxed rosewood handle is on its original brass slotted saw screws.
Couple of chips to the horns as shown in close up.
Good clear makers marks to the brass spine as shown.
Brass back blade is 8"; 1 7/8" front; 2" rear to bottom of back. Approx 16 tpi, teeth may need some attention, too small for my eyesight I am afraid!.Weight is 270g before safe packaging.
