Offered for sale is a used, Vintage 1950s Auburn 1:32nd Scale John Deere Model "M" Tractor with Barge Wagon. Auburn Rubber Company produced these toys in orange, blue, red, pink, light green and dark green. This vintage Auburn Tractor and Wagon are used and have been played with lightly over the years. The tractor has some substance, paint or nail polish on the hood. The wagon is excellent with only very minor warping of the sides. The actual 22 horsepower tractor was produced by John Deere from 1947 to 1952 at the Dubuque, Iowa factory. The M had been in development for several years during World War II prior to its introduction in 1947. The M replaced the H, L, and LA models. Three additional variants; the MT tricycle, MC crawler model, and MI industrial model were also built. The M was the first tractor to be produced at Deere's new Dubuque factory. It was the first to use Deere's Touch-O-Matic hydraulic system. PTO and electric starting were standard features. This is a very nice older (68-70 year old) rubber toy set that would make a great gift or awesome addition to any collection/display. Thanks for looking!
