VINTAGE CHINESE SILK ROBE FRAGMENT FRAMED ART DECOR TEXTILE
A beautifully done piece. Chinese hand embroidered on silk. Depicts a butterfly and flower branch set against a very pretty blue silk background. Typically this is either a sleeve piece of a robe or the center piece of the back of the robe.
Piece is framed under glass with a silk brocade border surrounding the piece. Thinner band is a woven embroidered ribbon piece with silk thread.

This is a very old and gorgeous piece. It has been matted and framed beautifully. No fading or sun damage! Silk is in tact without holes or stains. Corners of silk show edges of the mounting of the piece but this is part of the craft and art and are not considered defects.
The frame is a solid wood frame with a gold leaf like effect around the front face of the framing with a stained wood complementing the colors in the piece. No breaks, cracks or repairs to frame. May have some light surface wear due to age and preowned display. Paper backing has a few tears. Ready to hang! Sawtooth hanger is mounted on back of frame. Has a slight bend in the sawtooth hanger but still hangs perfectly.
Measures approximately 13 1/4” wide by 14 1/2” tall by 1 1/2” thick.
