Skilfully hand made it features a finely cast and applied 'Chinthe' or 'Dog of Fo' to the front in an elaborate cartouche surrounded by intricate hand engraved naturalistic scrolls.
The Chinese Dog of Fo is called Chinthe in Burma and is used symbolically on the royal thrones. Before the use of money brass weights cast into Chinthe were used as weights to measure quantities of stable items
