Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely antique English silver plated rolling dome breakfast or buffet server. This nice server is in excellent condition with no noted damage to the body. Simple elegant design in classic style, with embossed lobed panels on upper portion of lid with unused center cartouche for monogram. Beautiful handles with "button" knob on front.
The interior hous...es two oval trays, one with pierced decoration that sits inside a solid tray.
Each tray measures 1" high, 9 1/2" long and 7" wide. The server measures 8 1/2" high, 14" long and 8 1/2" wide.
Stamped on base "W. H. & S." for William Hutton & Sons and "HARD SOLDERED". Company began in Sheffield, England in 1843.
