It was hard to tell which side was the front because each side is decorated so beautifully. Even the lid is painted with much attention to detail. The pot is a large capacity, we estimate 6-8 cups, and has a music box that plays Beethoven's "Fur Elise". Marked made in China, but this is a truly a spectac...ular example of fine painting and does not have a mass-produced look or feel. It is approximately 8.5" tall and 9" handle-to-spout, and is free of flaws of any kind that we could find.
