EXQUISITE ANTIQUE FRENCH SILVER URN SHAPED PERFUME BOTTLE c1880
This antique French silver perfume bottle is an exquisite find. From the lae 1800s it has been packed away and I have left it just as it was found, untouched and original. It will clean as required. The silver is hallmarked with the French boars head and the condition is amazing. The heavy glass bottle is all intact in an unusual urn shape , there are no chips or crack...s. The silver lid is embellished with repousse roses , the lid hinge works well and the lid sits correctly. The neck band is embellished with a small repousse flower. The handles are scrolled and curled acanthus leaves with flower centres. I think it would have had an inner glass stopper but it is long gone. I am sure one could be sourced. Height 8cms Diameter max ( handle to handle) 5cms A rare find and a beautiful addition to any boudoir collection.
